4th Annual Diamond State Open Results
Dozens of grapplers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri competed for cash and other prizes in this year's Diamond State Open No-Gi BJJ tournament held in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Diamond State Open 2024: Weight Classes and Rules
Weight Classes will be determined the day of to ensure full and fair brackets. We will try to make 4 brackets. Above and below 175lbs, Expert and novice.
Cash prizes will be 50% of the entry fees for each division. Example 4 man bracket, total entry fees $180, winnings for 1st place will be $90.
Submission Only. No points or advantages during regulation time.
6-minute matches. Finals in each division will be 10 minutes.
In the case of no submission after 6 minutes, there will be a 2-minute tiebreaker. if no stalling penalties are given or if both athletes are tied on penalties. If the 2 min passed and no one has tapped. It will go to the athlete who got closest to completing a submission will win. If no submissions were close, then control time will be the determining factor.
In the case of no submission after the 10-minute finals match and with an even number of penalties, the decision goes to the closest, most dangerous submission attempt. If no submissions were close, both competitors will be refunded their entry fee. No cash prize for finals matches ending in a draw will be awarded.
Stalling penalty. Stalling will be handed out to an athlete that is not pursuing action, going out of contest area intentionally, or trying to kill time to will by criteria. not attempting to advance position bottom or top. 3 stall calls is a Disqualification.
No Slamming. If you can pick your opponent up with control and show that a slam is possible you will be reset on the feet neutral position.
All submissions are legal, but there will be no finger, thumb, or toe locks. Toe holds attacking the ankle/foot are legal. Wrist locks are legal. Covering the mouth and nose with the hand is only legal from the back position. Fighters must keep fingers and thumb clear of the eyes.
Single elimination for the cash prize. Brackets of 4 or less will be a round-robin. Brackets of 5 or more will have a losers bracket to ensure at least 2 matches per competitor. Loser bracket winner will get a t-shirt.
Matches start at 11 am. You must be warm and ready to compete at 11 am.Weigh-ins and sign up from 9 am to 10:30 am.
Sign up at the venue the day of the event.
Entry fee is 45 dollars.
