History of Judo

Judo, which translates to "the gentle way" in Japanese, is a martial art that originated in Japan. It emphasizes practical self-defense techniques and physical fitness while minimizing the potential for serious injury. Judo evolved from the ancient Japanese martial art of jujitsu and incorporated elements of other combat forms.

Today, Judo is practiced by millions of people worldwide, both as a competitive Olympic sport and a method of self-defense and fitness.
